Professor Fiona Jones (England), Dr Lisa Kidd (Scotland) along with Professor Hanne Palleson and Mette Brandi (Denmark) will be sharing their research and insights on self-management. They will be joined by stroke survivor Scott Ballard-Ridley at our morning plenary session at our Life After Stroke event on 11 March 2022, 10.00 – 11.30 CET.

Professor Jean-Marie Annoni (Switzerland) will be joined by stroke survivors for second plenary (15.00-16.30 CET), which focuses on overcoming communication barriers with stroke. They will share experiences and show that even without aphasia, communication failures are common and can result in confusion and distress.

We will discuss real life experiences of how families, friends and networks can adapt communication after stroke.
